Bro. Kayode is one of those brothers who appear quiet until their KEY is turned, then everybody witnesses the WONDERS of Jehovah. He isn't exactly a FINE brother, at least not in Dayo's eyes and calling him short would just be EXTREMELY rude, even though it's probably the most apposite word for his smallish frame. He has the typical black complexion associated with Westerners in Nigeria, especially their women folk.
He is just NOT THERE, osoro cha cha, plus he's always invisible in that NCCF big shirt he loves so dearly, next to his signature Khaki. But his smile is beautiful shaaa. Everybody's always smilling in the house anyway and smiles are meant to be beautiful biko!
When Kayode overheard TC the other day, he began smiling EXTRA with Dayo, always waving "bye" when she walked past et al. Bad thing was, Kayode didn't notice still, twas like any normal, harmless greeting.
Not until Bro. Kayode testified a sunday to the BLAST that "...God as RARELY been MERIFULL to me in PARICULAR. I af been believing im for my hown packesh all this years, but it seem as if E as forgot me, then only last week, E hopen my hyes to see my hown beauriful packesh in my very front..."
The house had roared in the usual Family House excitement, genuinely happy for a brother's answered prayers.
Then after fellowship he snapped several selfies with Dayo which in itself was apparently harmless cos flashes from phones after fellowship is one punch-line of sunday meetings in the house.
Then the pictures went up as his 'beauriful packesh' dp, still no worries, twas a normalcy.
Only Osai and Ada raised brows when Ada saw the dp the next afternoon,
just a little though, but they nonetheless went to show Chizzy. They
found her in a corner in the kitchen, on a phone conversation. She was
always on with the caller these days and Ada wasn't particularly a fan
of the calls nor the caller. She felt it distracted Chizzy's attention
to the trio a great deal.
"I hope Dayo's not the PACKESH broda anyi na (this our brother) testified about?! Nsogbo dikwa (there's trouble o)!" Chizzy moved the phone from her ears just enough to express her concern about the dp, not missing the last night jaw breaker accent, before plunging right back to her conversation with BROS and gisting the dp story sharp sharp.

After Dayo freshened up, she went back to Papa's office. The state
Excos where all seated, Dayo was tripple scared. She didn't even notice
Kayode was standing beside the door cos when she opened the door he was
now behind it. She shut the door, saw him, managed a suprised little
'hi' to his beaming grin and faced the Excos again.
After protocols, Kayode was asked to tell his story. So he told how the Lord had spoken to him through sister TC that Dayo was his hown and that he AD felt this love for her all along o, but HAS she did not use to look his way he said maybe it is the flesh. But when the word come from Sis TC, he receive it with Joy in his AT and know that this is confirmation of God.
The vein that was jotting outta his neck the whole while he told the damned tale was large enough to go round as SHAKI for the house, his excitment was very infuriating. Dayo stared on, willing the penetrating silence in the room to remain sacred.
What on earth had TC told this brother?!
TC was sent for after Dayo said she knew nothing about his story. TC kept pleading "...the blood of Jesus! Oh my Jesus!...." which appeared to infuriate Uncle (Gen. Sec) somehow. He blankly said,
"Welfo, (welfare co-ordinator) can we leave the blood of Jesus on the cross for now? We need to get you straight, ok? You..."
The mix-up would have escalated more as bro Kayode insisted that "Dayo is my packesh from da Lorddd!" but for Papa's intervention that Sis Dayo be given time and space to seek and hear God on the matter.
But Kayode's key had been turned, he told the Excos,
"what God as decree, E as decree! You are not more spiritual than God, you ear?! You are not and I must tell you hall the truth! Heven the bible said, HALL MEN...! HALL MEN remain liars, but God is a faithful somebori!"
All the, "Ahh! Bro Kayo, are you insulting the leaders, God's servants? Bro Kayo?! Bro Kayo?!" did not penetrate those waters, He left the office with determined steps and two days after moved out of the house.
Now Sis. Dayo's almost unfriendly, always avoiding as many brothers as she can. Where does that leave sisters nah, eh brothers?!
The arm of flesh would never get you there, NEVER!
Only they that walk by the LEADING OF THE SPIRIT would attain the life
of Jesus.
